Abigail is a loving mother of two, a former (and future!) birth doula, and a passionate advocate for the right to informed decision-making and excellent self-care in the childbearing years.
A Richmond native, Abigail is a Certified Massage Therapist, a Certified Infant Massage Instructor and a Postpartum and Birth Doula. She received her doula training from both DONA (Doulas of North America) and To Labor. She graduated from The American Institute of Massage in 2014 and has additional training in acupressure for pregnancy and birth, rebozo use during labor, prenatal massage, Thai massage, and infant massage. Abigail also holds a Masters in Social Work from Boston College and formerly worked with families in crisis. She has a passion for bodywork and for supporting families through the transition of pregnancy, birth and new parenthood.
Asked about her favorite part of working with soon-to-be and new parents, she says, "My favorite thing is providing a non-judgmental space while at the same time giving physical comfort and pain relief. I love nurturing the mind and body of the pregnant person."
